about

In 1990-1991 I was in my first band "Second Thought" This song and "Things in Me" are two of the many songs that were written by Noel Hansen & Robert Scarseth...I added drums, but they were the main songwriters in that band, We recorded a 5 song demo back in 1991,but then Noel broke his leg and had to move back Eau Claire, WI. I recently got back in touch with both of them and Robert said he didn't mind if we recorded a cover...I don't think Noel will either? By the way, until we started The Fairly Secret Army, Second Thought was my favorite band I had ever been part of...now there's a tie.

lyrics

Saw her sittin' there, using crayons on the wall
Writin' all the things that gone wrong in her life
Yeah she looked at me and said I never meant a thing to her
How do you think that effects my life?

She's been telling stories
So many stories about me

That was five years ago, I saw her the other day
She didn't even crack me a smile
But she looked at me and said I haven't changed a bit
What do you think she meant by that?

There's nothing I can say
There's nothing I can do
She just kept on telling stories
So many stories

Snuck up behind her, thought I'd unscrew her head
and see what's inside
I didn't expect to find too much
A small little man jumped out and said "This is my body!"
"I'm a parasite and I'm at home."
